The ShockLog® 248 functions to monitor and record impact and environmental conditions on any structure or equipment throughout storage, use, and transit. When an unacceptable condition that might affect the shipment’s performance or safety occurs, the ShockLog® 248 sends an alert to users, calling for immediate inspection or remediation before the shipment is received. This helps to prevent mishandling by increasing accountability throughout the journey.
Capable of monitoring impact and internal temperatures, this data logger provides peak value (time slot) and summarises the period journey profile data. Furthermore, the device can also record a detailed impact curve of up to 15 events – featuring the first and 14 most severe events. Its event summary log can also maintain up to 128 event notifications and 262,000 time slots.
The data logger allows users to set up, access, and download the data via the USB or iButton® interface. An overview of records can be obtained through the iButton® interface while ensuring that the unit is secured and tamperproof. The USB port also allows users to retrieve full data and have complete programming control over the device. The software of the ShockLog enables users to export data into programs for analysis such as Excel.
Available in 10G, 30G, 100G impact scale ranges, the ShockLog® 248 is ideal for applications that involve automotive parts, logistics, water treatment, medical devices and supplies, packaging and crating, transportation (e.g. trucking fleets, cranes, rail cars) and electronics. For applications, the ShockLog® 248 is to be put on structures and goods to monitor the impact and temperature conditions. This allows the user to receive alerts for inspection and remediation when the goods arrive at the next stop.
