Proximity Alert Components
Proximity alert components are additional devices for our forklift safety system. They include magnetic field generators, light and audio warning modules, personal alarm device chargers, and other types of equipment.
Enhance Workplace Safety
The proximity alert system is ideal for industrial warehouses. Magnetic field generators actively detect pedestrians, and the personal alarm device picks up their signals. These generators are easily installed on mobile equipment or powered vehicles, facilitating implementation across the facility.
The forklift safety device supports multiple vehicles and personal alarm devices, enhancing workplace safety. Silent zones can be established in pedestrian-safe areas using small silencers, preventing unnecessary alarm activations and optimising system efficiency.
Magnetic Field Generator
The magnetic field generator system comprises four components: the generator, warning module, cab silencer, warning module and power cable.
- The generator forms a pulsing magnetic field as a marker around the truck.
- The warning module provides the driver with visual and audible warnings (103 dB) when a pedestrian wearing a personal alarm device (PAD) is within the magnetic field of the truck.
- The cab silencer allows the driver to wear a PAD but prevents the alarm from going off while driving.
- The power chord channels the 12V needed for the system from a source on the truck downstream from the ignition. The blue light on the Generator shows power running to the unit, while the orange light shows a pedestrian warning.
- The warning module with light/sound offers drivers both audio and visual warnings when a pedestrian is nearby while driving in reverse. With the audio warning rated at 103dB, this product connects chains directly in the warning module with light and sound (included in the MFG system).
Personal Alarm Devices
10-Port Charger: The battery within the personal alarm device (PAD) must be fully charged daily. The charger is available in 3 different channels: Single Bay (to charge 1 PAD), 5 Bay (charges up to 5 PADs at a time) and 10 Bay (charges up to 10 PADs at a time).
Checkout Station: The station helps verify various devices’ functionality, ensuring they are in working condition. These include the personal alarm device, sounder, magnetic field sensors, LED and battery charger.
PAD Test Module: The PAD test module ensures all personal alarm devices function properly. The module serves as a reminder for employees to charge their PAD daily. The module has a test station, power cable and warning module.
Remote Event Monitoring
Relay: The system analyses operational performance and proximity events data, providing businesses with efficient data collection and reporting.
Data Module: The module analyses operational performance and proximity events data, providing users with efficient data collection and reporting.
Area Control
Structure Monitor: The monitor is made to protect permanent structures that require constant repair or are too expensive to replace. It can be used as a stand-alone device when a solar panel is added or connected to 110Vac. The monitor can sense an approaching truck’s generator and send a warning back to the truck driver. The length of the area around the monitor can be adjusted easily by taking off the top cover and slightly turning the pot with a 3/32” slotted screwdriver.
*Solar Panel, Controller Box, and Mounting Plate are priced separately*
Access Monitor: The monitor enables employers to wear a Personal Alarm Device (PAD) and access controlled areas, reminding employees to ensure daily charge of their PAD and prevent any device’s misplacement. When the monitor detects the presence of a PAD, it sends a command to a relay box and fixture with an on/off mechanism, controlling the gates to open or close. The monitor has a power cable, warning module, and relay.
Area Monitor: Used as a standalone device or in conjunction with the MAC-A system, the monitor can provide visual and audio warning alarms to workers of an approaching truck. It is best used at intersections and pedestrian areas with blind corners. The length of the area around the monitor is adjustable and can be done by taking off the top cover and slightly turning the pot with a 3/32″ slotted screwdriver. The area monitor has a relay box and 50 ft of 18/2 Thermostat wire. However, lights are not included.
Mechanised Area Control
MAC-A: The truck must enter the area equipped with a magnetic field generator system with a collision avoidance module (CAM), and the workers to wear a personal alarm device (PAD). When all three devices are used simultaneously, it separates pedestrians and equipment, preventing them from simultaneously occupying the controlled area.
The system can generate an adjustable magnetic field about 11 ft above the designated area, up to 30 ft wide and extend to 160″ in length. The collision avoidance module senses the magnetic field from the MAC, activating warning alerts such as lights, horns, etc. When all workers wearing the PAD are out of the system’s magnetic field, the truck will be able to enter the area. The system is supplied with a MAC controller, two relay boxes, MAC system of up to 160 ft of conduit and wire. Lights are not included.
MAC-Z: Compared to the MAC-A system, which gives off warning alerts when pedestrians and trucks enter the controlled area, the MAC-Z system prevents workers’ personal alarm devices (PAD) from sounding when they are in the protected area. The system generates an adjustable magnetic field suspended at about 11 ft above the designated area, up to 30 ft wide, and can extend up to 160″ in length. When all workers wearing PAD are in the System’s magnetic field, a truck can enter the area without triggering the alarm.
*For areas extending over 160″, users would need to purchase an additional MAC-Z System*
Silent Zones
Silent Zone: The device provides an area where the personal alarm devices will not activate even when a truck with a generator is nearby. Common areas include office(s), conference rooms, workrooms, or a cafeteria next to a truck path. The silent field is oval-shaped and can be easily adjusted to fit within the confines of the room by removing the top cover and turning the PWM pot. As the magnetic field penetrates walls and other obstructions, all personal alarm devices worn within the area of the silent zone will not activate. A jammer is an alternative to the silent zone when the EMI noise is too high. The field’s radius (major axis) for the silent zone and the jammer is between 6 and 28 ft.
Silent Spot: Unlike the silent zone and jammer, the silent spot is designed for smaller areas near a truck path. Covering an area of just 2 ft to 9 ft, the device can be used in workstations, desks, or personal work areas. Since magnetic fields can penetrate walls and other obstructions, using the device can prevent personal alarm devices worn by workers from activating. The silent field is circle-shaped and can be easily adjusted to fit within the confines of designated areas by removing the top cover and turning the PWM pot. The silent spot is an alternative to the silent zone and jammer when the EMI noise is too high.
