The VCI Powder is specially designed to provide enclosed systems interior metal surfaces with protection from corrosion damage. They are often used as:
Water-soluble and silica-free, the VCI Powders are specially designed to protect the interior metal surfaces of enclosed systems such as:
The Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SF is designed to protect ferrous metals from corrosion-causing elements. A silica-free and water-soluble powder, the 1000SF protects equipment during storage, lay-up, and hydrostatic testing. It is available in two different forms:
Apply the powder by dusting, fogging, or dissolving it in water. Removal of powder before restarting the unit after shut-down is not required. Sold in 5-lb & 25-lb boxes.
Each 8″ x 11″ pouch contains Nox-Rust 1000SF powder, able to protect up to 900 cubic feet of enclosed space. Place the powder inside boilers, tanks, void spaces inside vessels, turbines, and stream or condensate pipelines.
The breathable polyethylene sealed bag can diffuse slowly, protecting ferrous metals during extended periods of equipment inactivity, during storage, or lay-up.
A finely grounded version of the 1000SF, the Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SFG features similar usage and purposes, protecting metals from corrosion. They are ideal for applications where a fine powder is needed.
Silica-free and water-soluble, the Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1010SFG is a finely grounded powder, best suited for ferrous metals, including other metals such as copper, brass, and galvanised steel. Applied when either wet or dry, it does not need to be removed before the restart/usage of equipment.
Water-soluble & silica-free, the Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1015 protects ferrous metals in equipment during storage, lay-up, and hydrostatic testing from corrosion and rusting.
Also available in:
The pouch emitter can protect up to 15 cubic feet of exposed metals inside an enclosure. Each pouch emitter eliminates the need to fog or spray powders when such application methods are not possible or not ideal.
Om Mas’s VCI powders are not only safe and environmentally friendly but are also free from phosphates, heavy metals, and nitrates.
There are two ways to apply the VCI Powder as a coating, wet or dry application. For dry application, the anti-corrosion powder can be applied by dusting, fogging, or sprinkling. The powder can later be removed by compressed air or water. For wet application, mix with water and then apply the mixture by either spraying, brushing, or dipping the equipment directly into it.
