Art Sorb

Art pieces and historical artefacts are highly susceptible to damage caused by moisture and temperature fluctuations, leading to cracking, colour fading, and deformation.

Preserve Art and Heritage

Art sorb offers an effective solution using highly sensitive silica to absorb excess moisture and maintain stable humidity levels within a sealed environment. This maintenance-free and cost-effective humidity controller preserves art and heritage items for up to five years, preventing degradation due to climatic changes.

The art humidity controller preserves historical pieces, delicate fabrics, and documents from damage and deterioration. It outperforms ordinary silica gel products with five times the moisture buffering capabilities and works efficiently even at higher relative humidity levels.

Effective Humidity Management

The art humidity controller reacts to humidity changes, maintaining precise humidity control between 40-70% relative humidity, creating an ideal environment for artwork preservation. The controller’s lifespan is around five years, which may vary depending on the environment. A hygrometer can be used to monitor dehumidification progress.

Art sorb products come in non-woven sheets, cassettes, and beads, easily placed at the bottom, sides, and top of display cases or within frames and boxes.  Place the moisture controller in airtight display cases and use a heat shield to block light sources if present. Adequate airflow, airtight conditions, and even distribution are essential for its effectiveness.
