Molecular Sieve, also known as mol sieve or zeolite, is made of crystalline aluminosilicate with SiO2: AI202 in the ratio of 2:1. These Molecular Sieves come in various types due to their different pore openings, formed from the extensive cross-linking between AIO4 and SiO4. At Om Mas, our Molecular Sieve in mainly 4 different types with high mechanical strength, absorption capacity as well as low attrition loss.
Our Molecular Sieves are also available in different forms such as spheres, pellets, and powders to meet the needs of various industries and applications.
The small opening pores of the Molecular Sieve allow the separation of specific molecules by absorbing those with a smaller diameter than that of the pore openings and excluding the rest. Hence, enabling the Molecular Sieve to dehydrate, purify and separate selective gas & liquid substances. Capable of absorbing up to 22% of its weight, the Molecular Sieve can be found commonly used in the filtration system or as desiccant sachets to reduce humidity levels. They can also operate at a high temperature of up to 300°C, making them suitable for machinery applications. Molecular Sieves can also be regenerated at high temperatures when exposed to moisture over a long period. To allow regeneration to occur, simply heat the Molecular Sieve to an optimal temperature of 130°C – 250°C. However, the exact temperature varies for each type of Molecular Sieve.
