SpotBot™ Cellular


SpotBot™ Cellular is a standalone impact and temperature data logger, designed to record tri-axial impact, temperature monitoring and tracking through cellular connectivity, allowing it to communicate even without line of sight to a satellite. With the SpotSee web-based platform. Users can obtain the data from the cloud through any web-based device.

SpotBot™ Cellular is capable of reducing the high cost of global logistics and supply chain damage through a real-time, damage monitoring system. It assists in transport, supply chain management, shipping and plant managers to easily identify where, when and how impact or temperature damage has occurred from anywhere in the world. The service also allows subscribers to prevent damaged shipments early and execute cost-reducing procedures.

The collected data is delivered in real-time to the SpotSee Cloud via the SpotSee Connectivity, which is a special and low cost global cellular communication system that can be accessed anywhere that has cellular coverage. This is possible as SpotSee owns its own Mobile Virtual Network, providing global messaging and cloud services for less than $10 per month.

The SpotBot™ Cellular generates extremely accurate impact data up to 65G, which is 4 times the spectrum of the best competitive alternative (only able to capture 16G). The impact monitoring range of this device is ideal for products weighing between 100-60,000 lbs. Using off-the-shelf lithium batteries, SpotBot™ Cellular can operate more than 70 days while generating an hourly summary report of monitored data.

Once the data is recorded, it is analysed automatically in real-time for immediate and insightful reports such as time, location, frequency and severity of the damage. API’s are also available for users to retrieve the data with their own tools.

The impact setting of the device can be easily configured based on the product being monitored. SpotBot™ Cellular will then deliver time stamp of alerts of the impact encountered that exceeded the specified threshold. Once the trip is over, users can download a PDF file which maps out the top 10 largest impacts or a CSV file with the top 50 largest impacts and a time slot report. This allows users to identify which point of the route was most affected by mishandling and make necessary changes.
