Description
Gusset Pouch is a flexible pouch incorporated with a special material known as “gusset” to increase the volume of the bag and strengthen its structure. It is available in two different forms, the Side Gusset and Bottom Gusset Pouch. The Side Gusset Pouch features gusset that is fitted into the side of the pouch. In contrast, the Bottom Gusset Pouch features gusset that is fitted into the bottom of the pouch.
Difference between Side & Bottom Gusset Pouch
Bottom Gusset is a commonly used pouch in various industries. It can be classified into three different types, the Round Bottom, Plow Bottom and K-Seal Gusset to suit the multiple needs of customers. The Round bottom Gusset is usually used for packing products that weigh less than 500 grams, whereas the Plow and K-Seal Bottom Gusset is used to packed products that weigh more than 500 grams. The difference between these two pouches is that the Plow Seal is best suited for packing compact products such as flour and sugars.
The Side Gusset, on the other hand, is typically used for packing coffee, snacks, and tea as the gusset incorporated to the side provides the pouch with additional volume, hence maximising storage capacity for the pouch. This also enables the pouch to be displayed both vertically and horizontally, providing a flexible aesthetical appeal to consumers.
Although both Side and Bottom Gusset Pouch serves different purposes, they are both the ideal go-to packaging options for brands that require a perfect packaging format for their products.
