Desiccant Polymer (VMAP)

Description

Versatile Moisture Adsorbing Polymer (VMAP) is a desiccant product made from molecular sieve (60%) and polymer (40%). Ideally used for adsorbing odours and other volatile organic compounds, the composition of the VMAP also allows its shape to be customized for applications that require a specific form to fit the available space.

An excellent alternative to desiccant bags, the VMAP can reduce the risk of fibre loss and desiccant dust contamination, making it perfect for applications that require a high level of cleanliness. These applications include circuit boards, electronic, sensors, semiconductors, optics, medical devices, shipping and storage. The operating temperature of the VMAP ranges between -40°C and 90°C.

By using adhesives, screw fasteners or other mechanical retention methods, the VMAP can be fixed in place. The polymer is also incorporated with controlled adsorption properties to prolong the life of the desiccant, helping to reduce maintenance cost. This also means that the desiccant is being designed for a long time frame operation, able to protect the product for a long duration.
